Delete your GymJoin account

1. Delete your account in the app

The fastest way. The account is deleted immediately:

• Open the GymJoin app and sign in.
• Go to Profile → My details.
• Tap "Delete account" and confirm.

If you manage a gym or a coach profile, you will be asked to delete or transfer it first — an account cannot be removed while it still owns a public gym or coach page.

2. Request deletion without the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you:

• Send an email to gym.join.app@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account".
• Write it from the email address linked to your GymJoin account, or include the phone number you signed up with so we can verify it is really you.
• We confirm and complete the deletion within 30 calendar days at the latest — usually much sooner.

3. What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we immediately and permanently remove or irreversibly anonymise:

• Your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
• Links to your Google or Apple sign-in.
• Your reviews and ratings.
• Your favourites, subscriptions and memberships, monthly goals, notifications, and push tokens.

4. What is retained, and for how long

• Attendance and payment records are kept in anonymised form (no longer linked to you personally) for up to 3 years, because gyms and coaches may need them for accounting and dispute resolution.
• Encrypted backups may contain your data for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten.
• Data we are legally required to keep is retained only for as long as the law demands.
